We operate two sawmills to saw our wood. The Timberking 2000 is our primary sawmill used to cut lumber, mantels and small slabs, while the Lucas Mill Slabber is used to slab larger logs. We have a large selection of milled and kiln dried hardwood slabs and beams for purchase to take home or be handcrafted into a custom piece at our shop. We can also do custom milling jobs for mantels, large reclaimed beams, or flooring.
TimberKing 2000
The TimberKing 2000 sawmill is our primary sawmill here at St. Pierre Woodworking and Sawmill. We can cut logs up to thirty inches in diameter on this sawmill before we have to move to the Lucas Mill. We use the TimberKing to cut all reclaimed wood and beams into products such as flooring or straight-edged mantles. We cut slabs, lumber, beams, and many other types of wood.
Lucasmill Slabber
The Lucas Mill slabber is the sawmill we use if the log is over 30 inches in diameter. The slabbing mill has a large bar similar to that on a chainsaw and a skip chain and can cut logs up to 50 inches in diameter.
Got logs?
We are always on the lookout for walnut, oak, maple, elm, and sycamore but may consider other hardwoods. Some of the most common sources of the logs we get are from trees that people have removed from their property.
Let us know the species, size, and condition of the log, include any images you can, and we will haul from site.
Note: We DO NOT take down the trees. We must determine which logs are suitable for our mill. Logs must be a minimum of 18” in diameter, relatively straight, and structurally sound (not rotten).
